LIFE
In his book, India 2020, he strongly advocated an action plan to develop India into a knowledge superpower. He regarded his work on India's nuclear weapons program as a way to assert India's place as a future superpower. "Strength respects Strength", was his usual response to the question why India needed it own missile of a battle tank or a combat aircraft.
Born on 15th October 1931 at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, Dr Abdul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, Specialized in aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology.
